Representation and professional bookings are never guaranteed. We believe actors should pursue representation when they are prepared, professional, consistent, and able to audition confidently.

AUDITION TECHNIQUE
First impressions are the most important impressions, and the actor must be prepared to stand out in every audition opportunity. Students learn every step of the audition process starting from the moment they get their audition notice and script/sides/copy. Students learn how to prepare for the audition, and how to make that amazing first impression in front of a casting director! They will learn different types of auditions (for tv, film, theatre, tv commercials, school productions, etc) and how they differ from each other. They learn key factors that make a difference in an audition… factors that go beyond the performance of their scene. Students will learn about audition opportunities once they are prepared for them.
ACTING FOR FILM & TV
Students learn how to act for film and TV. Students get to work on real scripts from the most popular TV shows and movies. Comedy, drama, and other genres are covered in our Acting for film and TV class. This class is a fun experience where students obtain on-camera skills. We cover technical aspects necessary to know for on-camera work (commercials, film, TV, etc.) Students learn how to be believable and real. Through analysis of the character and breakdown of the scene, they build a deep character and learn to take re-direction. They learn how to use their body, voice, and face to create a real character. They learn to approach scenes in different ways, as well as how to use props. Actors will use their emotions and will learn to react and be active listeners in their scenes, while they use their inner monologue.
IMPROVISATION
Improvisation classes are a great way to develop communication skills, team work skills, creative problem solving skills, listening skills, and to boost your confidence. Students learn to be bold and spontaneous, to be agile, and to enhance their creativity and curiosity. They learn how to carry themselves and to be natural in their acting, while they make friendships and gain the camaraderie that comes from these activities. Improvisation classes are something useful for everyone, starting out in young ages to adulthood. Improv classes help students take more risks in their acting choices, and they become more mindful and present. Plus, beyond acting skills, students will get life skills that they will be able to apply forever.
ACTING FOR TV COMMERCIALS
Many A-listers actors started their acting career doing TV commercials. Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey, and Cameron Diaz (to name a few) began their acting career doing commercials for food, cell phones, etc. Acting for commercials requires a specific set of skills. The main objective of a commercial is to sell a product to the audience. Commercial casting directors cast actors not only for their acting skills, but for their “personalities.” Casting directors will cast the actor that will be able to sell the product, in other words, someone that will be memorable, relatable, and real. Students will work on scripted material and will explore the elements of the auditioning process and techniques specifically for the commercial industry. Students obtain the ability to be real enough for the audience to relate. Improv games and exercises are an important part of this class. The student will gain confidence to perform in front of the camera and learn the different types of commercials they could audition for. They also learn on-set etiquette, and how to make a great impression on set.

At Star On!! The Acting Studio, we empower confidence through Acting and Public Speaking, from Kids to Grown-Ups. Beyond from teaching great acting skills and public speaking, our main objective is to boost our students’ confidence, to help develop their self esteems, and to improve their overall personalities. We use communication skills and confidence building exercises to bring out the star potential inside of our students. They learn effective communication, presentation skills, body language, voice modulation, fluency, overcoming fear, audience engagement, nervousness management, and the basics of speech preparation. We encourage them to make strong choices, to take risks on the stage, and to become the best version of themselves. Our students learn they can be the confident individuals they want to be!

At Star On!! The Acting Studio, we care about what our students want to accomplish, and we are goal oriented.
From ABC Family, CW Network, guest stars to principal actors in major studio films, tv network pilots, to National TV campaigns, and Super Bowl commercials, we have trained them all.
